OTHER COCKPIT BUILDERS

Not an engineer? Only have one computer? On a tight budget?
You know how to plug in a USB cable, but that's about as far as your hardware skills go?
No problem!
You don't have to settle for a messy collection of hardware on your desk, with wires running everywhere.
You can build a great simulator, that even your non-flying spouse can stand to look at, for modest means.
All it takes is some inspíration, a little imagination, and some elbow grease.

Below are miscellaneous webpages from other cockpit builders, some rather ambitious, some pretty simple.
I got a lot of inspiration from some of these sites, and there are plenty of useful tips to be had.

Mike Smith's cockpit   How to build your own cockpit   By Mike Smith (flightsim.com)

Seems to have been built around 2003, so equipment is rather old, but the idea is cool.

Francisco's cockpit   My own home-built cockpit   By Francisco Garcia Garrido.

Seems to have been built around 2002, so equipment is rather old,
but still a good place to get ideas and hints.

Daniel Friede's cockpit shell   How to build a cockpit shell   By Daniel Friede (flightsim.com)

Larger picture, drawing and also a nice video on his webpage.

cessnasim   MyCessnaSim.com   By Captain Matt Riggins.

Very ambitious, but what a great site!
Tons of pictures, and tons of ideas to pick for your own (smaller scale?) project.

It must be way above and beyond most
